Hi, hey, hello!

Dian Prianka

Fashion Business Educator | Branding & Design Specialist | Entrepreneurship Mentor

As a Fashion Business and Design educator at Universitas Surabaya’s Faculty of Creative Industries, I cultivate strategic thinking at the intersection of creativity and commerce. My courses in fashion design principles, branding, and entrepreneurship equip students with both technical skills and business acumen. Parallel to academia, I serve as Manager of Ubaya InnovAction Hub (UIH), where I guide startups through incubation and acceleration programs, transforming ideas into viable fashion and any creative enterprises. This dual role allows me to bridge theoretical frameworks with real-world industry validation, ensuring my teaching remains grounded in market realities.

Dian Prianka is a fashion educator and innovation catalyst with a unique cross-disciplinary background. She holds a Sarjana Teknik in Product Design from Universitas Surabaya and a Master’s in Brand and Fashion Management from Fu Jen Catholic University, Taiwan, where her research explored personal branding strategies on Instagram. As a Lecturer in Fashion Design at Universitas Surabaya’s Faculty of Creative Industries, Dian bridges her technical design expertise with digital marketing savvy to prepare students for Indonesia’s evolving creative economy. Her parallel role as Manager of Ubaya InnovAction Hub’s Incubator and Accelerator Program allows her to turn classroom concepts into real ventures, guiding student startups from ideation to execution.

Known for her accessible teaching style, Dian believes education should mirror industry realities while nurturing each student’s unique voice. Whether she’s decoding Instagram algorithms in class or hosting casual mentoring sessions over coffee, her goal remains constant: to equip young creatives with both the technical skills and business acumen to make meaningful impact. Her approach blends product design fundamentals with fashion branding strategies, reflecting her own journey from technical training to creative entrepreneurship. At UIH, she takes special pride in watching student projects evolve into viable businesses that contribute to Surabaya’s growing innovation ecosystem.

Teaching students to slay both designs and business plans since 2017.
